Litigation Paralegal - Los Angeles, CA
A growing law firm has an opening for a litigation paralegal in its Los Angeles office.
Requirements:
- Paralegal certification from a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association
- At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in California
- Strong understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure
- Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, key discovery statutes, principles and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; iManage; Summation; Concordance; and Trial Director
Duties:
- Summarize and index documents, including medical chronologies and billing summaries
- Develop and implement databases to manage, sort, index, analyze and summarize large volumes of data
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation
- Prepare documents for discovery, including motions, depositions and document productions
- Perform legal research
- Prepare court filings, draft and issue subpoenas
- Scan, code, upload, store and print documents
