Responsibilities include:
- Review and research Litigation matters as they are opened and oversee tagging choices that are assigned during the matter open process.
- Complete Litigation matter record in Foundation and ensure the matter record reflects new events and outcomes of the litigation case.
- Audit, on a quarterly basis, all Litigation-related data tags to ensure that they are accurate throughout the lifecycle of a matter, and that they reflect a real-time view of all Litigation matters.
- Coordinate closely with the Content, Intelligence and Client Development team to make sure that the data tagging approach remains consistent with their data collection process and complements their efforts.
- Respond to RFI's from attorneys, Practice Management and Client Development teams in coordination with the Market Intelligence colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate ideas clearly through oral and written communication.
- Familiarity with Life Cycle of a Litigation matter/case.
- Familiarity with electronic court filings for state and federal district and appellate courts.
- Understanding of Litigation Practice areas including Antitrust, Securities, White Collar, Intellectual Property, etc.
- PACER, Westlaw, Courthouse News, Bloomberg Law, Lex Machina proficiency.
- Foundation database knowledge preferred, or something similar (Content Pilot, etc.).
- Advanced Excel knowledge required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or managing attorney clerk a plus.
