Project Manager - St. Louis, MO
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and utilizes PMI methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Assists with project initiation evaluations, such as cost-benefit or return on investment, and provides recommendations.
  • Leads project teams through the project imitation and planning process (i.e., develop Project Charter, Scope, Budget, Resource Plan, Schedule) through execution and delivery to Operations.
  • Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements; ensures project stays within scope.
  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develops and manages detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Measures project performance and makes recommendations to overcome obstacles threatening project timelines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to actively manage and minimize project risks.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Communicates with management regarding status of assigned projects.
  • Accountable for project success with the project sponsor.
  • Manages relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and Firm personnel.
  • Cross-trains team members so that policies and standards are adhered to.
  • Ensures appropriate written documentation is created and maintained to enable other personnel to keep systems operational.
  • Communicates with vendors, trade groups, and professional organizations to stay abreast of business trends and best practices.
  • Maintains project management library of model documents, templates, and reusable knowledge assets.
  • Provides a leadership, coaching, and/or mentorship to project teams.
Job Requirements
  • Experience managing projects in a structured project tool or portal, such as MS Project, SmartSheet, or other enterprise project management tool.
  • Experience with PMI/PMP project manage to methodologies. Demonstrates understanding of these methodologies and has experience managing small to medium sized project portfolios via a project management tool.
  • Experience managing small to medium sized project portfolios with the following criteria:
  • Project teams consisting of 6 to 10 members;
  • Project duration of 1 month to 11 months;
  • Project budgets ranging from $100,00 to $1,000,000.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team even on unknown platforms, processes or technologies, sufficient to be able to manage the resources and deliverables.
  • Strong multitasking skills, able to shift focus and priorities and reprioritize project portfolio as needed.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of employees and has an approachable demeanor.
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence.  Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
  • Ability to consume information, objectives, and concerns communicated by others, in order to identify and contribute relevant information to the team/project.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices with a proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Experience in providing presentations and status briefings to management and legal teams.
  • Innovative able to devise new ways to execute tasks, solve problems, and meet challenges.
  • Experience detecting trends and patterns, then capable of positing solutions or escalates defined problem statement for resolution.
  • Ability to understand, document, and transfer knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite, to include the current release version.
  • Ability to utilize MS Excel for data analysis, publish pivot tables and chart.
  • Able to demonstrate experience utilizing MS OneNote as a knowledge base and collaboration platform.
  • Leverages styles to create and update MS Word documents.
  • Experience utilizing MS M365 collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to design PowerBI dashboards and/or express reporting requirements to a dashboard developer.
  • Individual must be self-actualized, motivated, and thrive in a team setting and enjoy problem solving with others.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL framework to ensure efficient service delivery and improvements in alignment with the Firm's business and technology strategies.
  • Ability to identify, collect and reconcile information from online resources, vendor engagements, peer and personnel interviews for the purpose of presenting information in support of operational and strategic objectives.
  • Must possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills.
  • Must have ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
  • Ability to participate using modern collaboration methods (e.g., Microsoft Teams) as requested by management.
  • Ability to process routine daily functions while being able to resolve sensitive issues and complex assignments utilizing above average critical thinking skills.
  • Must have ability to read, write and communicate fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • This is a full time position which requires working a minimum of 40 hours on a regular basis. Oftentimes, it may also require working outside of normal business hours to ensure completion of position requirements.
  • The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order for him or her to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.  These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the work day, and having the ability to transport 20 pounds and being able to operate a computer and other business equipment found in the office
