Benefits Specialist - Washington, D.C.
Top-notch law firm is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their central HR team. The Benefits Specialist is primarily responsible for providing benefits support and guidance to US employees and partners of the firm. Specific duties include but are not limited to fielding HR questions from assigned locations and working closely with local administrative managers and directors in those offices to ensure consistency in HR/benefits practice across the firm; creating new benefit kits and exit paperwork packets; creating and maintaining benefits files; HRIS data entry; and reviewing benefit elections, entry of elections in HRIS, and working with carriers on enrollment and dis-enrollment.
Candidates must have 5+ years of HR/HRIS experience, preferably within a law firm or other professional services organization. A college degree is highly preferred. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Also desirable is a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding department information.
