  • Support six or more attorneys on any given day;
  • provide partner-level support when necessary;
  • assist with overflow and special projects and contribute to the office-wide and firm‑wide team objectives;
  • support litigation attorneys and transactional attorneys;
  • prepare standard litigation court filings in various jurisdictions (electronic filings and traditional filings), including creating tables of authorities and tables of contents;
  • draft, format and revise transactional and litigation documents;
  • identify and organize documents for closings of real estate transactions; prepare initial checklists, research possible forms of documents, and manage formatting for uniformity across all documents;
  • assist with closings; monitor and update checklists; organize documents and signature pages for execution; monitor status of documentation and organize final execution documents as received; produce and transmit closing sets;
  • prepare hard copy closing binders and electronic closing binders;
  • regularly expand his or her skillset, knowledge base and computer skills by participating in firm-provided training and assessments; and
  • deliver a wide range of standard legal secretarial services
  • organize his or her workload, prioritize multiple projects and multitask in order to meet all deadlines;
  • adapt quickly to changing priorities, and remain calm in deadline-driven and high‑pressure situations;
  • demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and use sound judgment;
  • be extremely discreet and carefully maintain confidences;
  • communicate professionally and effectively (in writing, orally and in e-mail), and demonstrate excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills;
  • deliver accurate work product which adheres to firm standards for format, style and quality;
  • use departmental support effectively and appropriately to meet client needs and achieve high productivity;
  • maintain high productivity with minimal instruction and supervision; and
  • work overtime (if necessary).
  • possess working knowledge of real estate and corporate terminology and documents; assist with closings; and maintain knowledge of outside agencies for real estate and corporate matters.

  • The candidate must be technically proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 or 2016 and Windows 7 or 10. (A skills assessment on Microsoft Word 2010 is part of the application process.)
  • The candidate must be able to perform these specific PC tasks: redline documents; create tables of contents and tables of authorities; and prepare electronic court filings (USDC, Lexis/Nexis, etc.).
