Position supports a group of 5-6 attorneys practicing in a variety of areas, and requires extensive communication with clients, firm personnel, and others. Successful candidates will be able to effectively work independently and also coordinate with various Firm departments and offices while engaging various available resources in order to provide top quality legal secretarial support.
Responsibilities include:
  • Projecting a high level of service orientation and professionalism with internal and client facing situations through in-person, telephone, and written interactions.
  • General administrative tasks (including expense reports, calendar & contact management, and general file maintenance).
  • Time entry and client billing review/coordination.
  • Coordinating meeting times and logistics with internal and outside parties.
  • Scheduling domestic and international travel for individuals and teams of attorneys.
  • Typing, editing, printing, and formatting legal documents, letters, spreadsheets, and presentations utilizing solid grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
  • Effectively managing phone calls and inquiries while remaining discreet and professional.
Candidates must exhibit strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, schedule, and track information to complete multiple projects as required. A proven track record of being adaptable to changing priorities while maintaining a calm demeanor in high pressure, deadline driven situations is necessary. In addition, candidates need to demonstrate that they are resourceful and possess an aptitude for creative and effective problem solving. An ability to project confidence and confidentiality while handling all tasks in a timely manner is also required. This includes professional telephone skills and effective verbal and written communications.
Minimum of 2 years administrative or legal assistant experience. Prior law firm experience is ideal, however, candidates with strong administrative and/or executive assistant experience will be considered. Required computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or 2016 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Windows 7 or 10.
