The Records Department of a top-notch law firm has an opening for a Document Imaging Specialist in their Washington DC office. The Document Imaging Specialist is responsible for organizing, maintaining and reviewing the physical files for the purpose of imaging documents; utilizing industrial and/or office grade imaging equipment to convert physical documents into an electronic format and monitoring the quality of the converted documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of electronic images.  This position also is responsible for the input of new client matters into the Firm’s Records Management system as well as additional duties as assigned.

·         A minimum of two years of records management and/or legal assistant experience.
·         Experience with electronic files in a legal environment is a plus.
·         A minimum of 45 wpm typing.
·         Knowledge of scanning equipment.
·         Proficiency in a range of computer software applications, including programs such as, MSWord, Excel,   Filesite.
·         Excellent organizational skills.
·         Proficiency in handling a number of projects simultaneously.
·         Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
·         Must have attention to detail.
·         Strong written and oral communication skills.
·         Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
·         Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary.
