(Top-notch law firm is seeking a litigation paralegal for their San Francisco office)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with tasks related to the litigation/arbitration processes through the various stages of pre-filing, initial filing, motion and discovery practice, pretrial and trial. Preparing initial court documents, discovery requests and responses, witness files and trial; analyzing case material; reviewing documents; researching case information online and on Lexis-Nexis; performing cite and fact checking of legal briefs; researching and staying updated on court rules, procedures, statutes and guidelines; calendaring court events and deadlines; handling manual and electronic court filings; drafting correspondence; communicating with clients.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Problem solving skills
  • organization and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of litigation/arbitration processes
  • Ability to quickly absorb facts
  • Ability to find and use multiple legal resources
  • Good communication ability
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Lexis, Compulaw, E-filing Portals and Ability to navigate Litigation electronic databases (e.g. Relativity, Litera)
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; paralegal certificate is preferred;
