Business Development Coordinator - (Construction Defect Law Practice) - Irvine, CA
BDC coordinates and assists the business development activities in their assigned geographic region through proactive contact with potential clients and developing leads in new practice areas (Condos, Municipal, Commercial, Schools, Houses of Worship, and Apartments/Student Housing).  Implement Business Development Plan under the guidance of Attorney in charge of new practice areas.  Provide support in areas of trade shows, database management, and advertising and lead tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops relationships with HOA Property Management Companies, and individual Managers for Case referrals. Coordinates and manages all trade shows and events with various groups, such as CAI, CACM, California League of Cities, etc.  Coordinate mailings to new practice areas to include cover letters, brochures, business cards and envelopes.  Receives and processes inquiries from prospective clients. Assist in the management of databases and information on new practice areas and create specific and concise reports.  Follow up on all mailings and contacts from meetings / trade shows.    Performs other business development tasks as directed by the Attorney, CEO and Senior Partner. 
SUCCESS MEASUREMENT: Based on number of quality leads developed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to search databases.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:  Sales or marketing experience, working with clients or consumers, as well as experience or exposure to legal issues preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION: Occasionally, work may necessitate extraordinarily long work hours (overtime) and/or travel requiring extended stays away from home for a week or longer.  Ability to handle 50 lb. (or heavier) boxes of documents, trade show booth materials, and physically arrange and organize trade show brochures, tables, gift bags, etc.  Ability to drive, often necessary to see potential leads, clients, and trade shows, therefore must have Driver’s License.  Ability to be outside and on your feet for 8 hours or more for site work / visuals at potential clients.  Ability to be inside and on your feet for 8 hours + for trade show support.
