Top-rated law firm is seeking an Information Governance Compliance Coordinator (IGCC) for their Palo Alto office. - The IGGC will work closely with the Information Governance Operations Supervisor to manage workflow that includes performing and/or coordinating activities associated with client file transfers, intake of electronic file transfers for lateral attorneys, records retention and compliance with records standards.  

Responsibilities:
  • Communication with attorneys and staff regarding records matters, electronic document transfer and download, document/record destruction, participation in the development of records retention procedures, record request review and approval, data entry/analysis and legal hold implementation, fielding questions/problem solving, participation in the development of training procedures, liaising between attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, administration and other records staff, promoting team behavior to achieve organizational goals as well as other duties that are assigned. 

  • Previous experience with complex electronic records management systems, 3+ years of records experience, IT experience or a combination of records and IT experience are required.  Must be proficient in Windows technology, the Microsoft office suite of programs, and, specific software programs. Must be available to work overtime, as required. 
Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree or four (4) years or records experience, previous multi office law firm experience, coordinating and implementing new technologies and/or knowledge of SQL programming is preferred.
