ASIC Design Manager – IC Design Services

Responsibilities
• Coordinate design planning, proposal and execution of high-performance mixed-signal ICs from concept to production. A strong, engineering knowledge of IC design flows and functions is expected.
• Management leadership interfacing cross-functionally and with key customers
• Provide vision and guidance to design team managers to incorporate best practices to improve business performance, engineering efficiency, and repeatable quality results across the company
• Drive recruiting, training, management of world-class design engineering teams to deliver results with integrity, commitment, and excellence for a wide variety of ASIC and SOC applications
• Represent company at an executive level in negotiations with suppliers, IP vendors and foundries
• Set goals for customer satisfaction and quality of deliverables for all projects
• Guide development of accurate schedules and resource estimates and define/facilitate/track project execution methods for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Support quality management continuous improvement activities at the business and team level
• Define, evaluate and deliver on team performance metrics by leading team managers to communicate individual and team goals with remote and local team members effectively
• Continuously grow yourself and your organization’s performance through proactive thinking on personal, design and technology training
• Ability to be hands-on and flexible across multiple functional roles from proposal to production supply chain management
• Manage your organization’s financial and project objectives as well as proactively seeking out new business opportunities
Qualifications
• BS/MS/PhD in applicable field with 8+ years of experience in IC product design, or equivalent
• Proficiency in digital and analog/mixed signal design (digital front end and RF experience is desired)
• Proven record of technical project leadership success developing integrated circuits
• Must have thorough understanding of best practices for silicon development tools and processes
• Strong communication, debugging and analytical skills with complex technical concepts
• Experience with a variety of manufacturing technologies and design applications preferred
• Role requires candidate to be approved under ITAR compliance requirements
