Senior CAD Engineer
Austin, TX (onsite/hybrid)
US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
6-12 months contract with possible extensions

Key Responsibilities:
• Install TSMC N16 PDK and setup Cadence design flows for custom schematic and layout, and digital RTL2GDS flow.
• Perform flow Quality Checks and work with the design team to roll out the design flows.
• Develop utilities and scripts to increase productivity, e.g. scripts for Innovus APR flow.
• Work with Linux system admin for performance monitor and tuning of Cadence EDA tools.
• Reproduce EDA tool issues reported by designers, perform debug, and work with Cadence application engineers for expedited resolution.
• Create and maintain best practice CAD tool and flow documentation.

Requirements:
• BS or higher degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science required
• 10+ years’ experience in analog and digital PDK setup, maintenance, and supporting CAD flows
• Must have experience with TSMC 16nm PDK installation and flows for Cadence tools (EAD, WSP etc.) for chips implemented in Silicon
• Exposure to programming languages such as Perl, and Python
• Proficient with Unix / Linux OS, utilities, and scripting, e.g. SKILL
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
